I remember that tv show by Rush Limbaugh where he was wearing 8-9 colored ribbons on his suit jacket.

He was demonstrating the sophomoric agenda of liberals by wearing ribbons to support a cause even though it does nothing to solve problems. It was ALL symbolism with them.

In Rush’s voice berating liberals: “We are nice people. We are better than you because we have these ribbons to show how much we care”.

I remember one time the day after one of those fatuous fawning awards shows he remarked that the bravest guy at the event (I don’t recall his name) was the guy who didn’t wear the red Celebration-of-AIDS ribbon.
