With this administration in charge I think for the first time in my 65 years there is a serious chance Americans, many Americans may go hungry.

OR you could say that most Americans could lose a little weight. We have the fattest population on earth in my opinion.

It’s not just the commodities - distribution is also in jeopardy.

A few huge distributors replenish groceries each night - just in time - rather than holding strategic supplies of anything.

If one of these outfits “goes Galt” for any reason, lots of people are screwed.

Earlier today, I was stunned to learn that it is being projected that China’s winter wheat crop could be “the worst in history”…

media hype

every word is a lie.

“The USA used to be the world’s bread basket. Now we pay our farmers to grow inedible crops. Science!”

_______________

I think this bears repeating.

This is what I was thinking. If there’s a good harvest in the US, it could be a windfall for US agriculture. I did read that a huge % of fertilizer is made in Russia. Could mean higher input costs, but well worth the investment.

If you were waiting for things to “return to normal”, you can stop waiting, because a perfect storm has arrived and things are definitely not going to be “normal” for the foreseeable future.

A message brought to you by the one world government.

Our food imports from Russia are negligible, the biggest impact in the US will be increased food prices due to higher transportation costs

People don't realize how much oil impacts EVERY bit of their lives. Even recharging your Tesla is going to cost more.

This article is hysterical bull crap. The United States agricultural sector alone can make up most of any short fall if given room from garbage regulation.

First there was pestilence. Now there is war. Next will be famine.

War, famine, plagues. Welcome to the new world order. Soon on the horizon is nuclear holocaust.

The biggest problem is the shortage of fertilizer:

I suppose American farmers could see a huge windfall if they manage to have a bumper crop this year.

The problem with that is the cost of fertilizer due to the self-inflicted natural gas shortage.

Canada is one of our biggest traders in grains and lumber.A gallon of gas is going to be battling a box of cereal in cost.

Like we are going to collectively believe that there wasn’t a “supply chain” problem prior to the war? No food shortages either. I guess the gas pump prices were a mirage also. The auto industry is collapsing, and will be destroyed once China takes Taiwan, who produces 95% of all chips.

This war is the best thing to ever happen to Joe Biden, he has egged it on.

“huge windfall”

Nope, production costs will eat up any increase in prices.

I have already talked to some snowbird grain farmers around here last week. They are going to plant just enough to pay for taxes and basic survival-if that can be done, and let the rest go fallow.

What cause are you thinking of?

In fact, World Bank President David Malpass is openly admitting that we are now facing “a huge supply shock” as a result of the war in Ukraine.

Covid failed to give them global control, they look for other schemes.

Yes, Prices are higher but the problem is the Xi-O'Biden #ComDem_Insanity and the "Globalist Freaks".

“the biggest impact in the US will be increased food prices due to higher transportation costs. “

Ever hear of the commodities market?
All that grain & corn being bought isn’t just for human food use.
The U.S. doesn’t exist in an isolated dome.
