The reason we know Ukrainian officials are trying to goad the US into war is because that’s exactly what they say they’re doing. There is no ambiguity here — at this very moment, a furious multi-front lobbying blitz is underway to solicit full-fledged US military intervention in Ukraine, and therefore open warfare against Russia. To put it bluntly, a foreign country’s representatives are doing all they possibly can to instigate the closest thing anyone on Earth has ever experienced to World War III.
At the forefront of this campaign is the president, Zelensky, who’s been transformed overnight into an international folk hero. His nonstop lobbying offensive included a soaring address Friday to what some media outlets ludicrously described as an “anti-war rally” in Frankfurt, Germany. Such a description is ludicrous because the headline takeaway from the rally was Zelensky passionately condemning the alleged cowardice of NATO countries — for, as yet, refusing to launch a war against Russia. “All the people who die from this day forward will also die because of you, because of your weakness,” he inveighed. In his pro-war advocacy, Zelensky uses the same clever euphemism that has now entered heavy circulation: “No Fly Zone.” At this point, everyone with a bare-minimum understanding of what a US-administered “No Fly Zone” would entail has readily acknowledged that it means direct war with Russia — and by extension a radically increased risk of nuclear annihilation.

What, are you just watching FOX? They are just as bad as CNN and MSNBC when it comes to pushing War Fever, and that desecrated flag hurts the narrative.
Here is how you catch up. I used DuckDuckGo, never Google/Goolag. I used the below search words:
Capitol Hill step Pelosi American flag Ukraine flag senators congressmen
Tons and tons of stories with photos will pop up.
Peter the Great won much of the lands now called Ukraine for Russia at the Battle of Poltava in 1709. They remained Russia Proper until the Bolsheviks created the country of Ukraine out of thin air and made it a Soviet Republic state. Putin is taking back what history shows is rightly Russia's land.
Of course Russia is making advances, and without significant help the weight of the Russian military will eventually reach its objectives.
But that Ukraine should surrender? I’m sure they have to consider it every day.
That decision is in their hands and I support their deciding to fight this far.
Okay, so you’ll sign up, you’ll send your kids?
A very good chance getting pulled into this war will result in Civil War here.
Perhaps but unlikely. Mechanized warfare emphasizes quick movement, the prompt seizure of objectives and abhors static lines of battle. There is almost no plausible advantage for Russia to get bogged down in a static conflict. It would not advance their political goals.
However almost all such analysis is inherently flawed and incomplete. The danger has always been that politicians will eagerly believe that which supports their notions and ignore that which contradicts their conceptions and desires. Nor do they even consider that critical data is unknown or as you suggest being purposely hidden. It is this formula that leads to misjudgments and real disaster.
WAR never is, especially lopsided war.
“Russia’s border concerns“
That is BS Russian propaganda. Russia has no border concerns. Nobody is threatening to invade and occupy Russian territory. Russia knows that full well. It’s RUSSIA that’s a proven aggressor and the only reason arms are placed in bordering states is to prevent RUSSIA from doing exactly the kind of thing they are doing to Ukraine.
Then that same logic applies to California. It was Mexico at one time.
Just like “history” says California etc belong to Mexico, right?
Yep how dare those Ukrainians actually have a country that RUSSIA gave to them. /s
Think how twisted it is of you to say Russia can destroy Ukraine because Russia created Ukraine.
And what a shame Ukrainians don’t recognize this and actually have the audacity to resist.
1709 my ass.
If it were up to me Ukraine would not get 10 cents or the time of day.
It would be time and money wasted.
Self ping
Just noticed your snarky reply:
“Wow, you cannot explain. You are a great communicator /s.”
See 62.
It’s not my job to hold the hand and show the way to every moron here who totally misses an important story.
Try something called “a search engine” if you missed a story. As I said above, if you are getting your news from FOX, they are as afflicted with War Fever as CNN and MSNBC, so they did not show the “mixed flag” because it hurts the Rah Rah War! narrative.
Balderdascious pacifist propaganda that should get the author shot
No, they are pleading for help while our leadership selects the next icecream flavor.
They fired a missile at a TV station near the Babyn Bar memorial. The memorial was untouched.
“All the other wars after it (Including the Civil War) did not have to happen.“
Wars never have to happen. Except there are evil people like Putin.
You just stated that it was a waste of our time to fight Hitler.
That says about everything there is to say.
Of course, all these lunatics are now supporting arguments made famous by the American left.
And all their “history lessons” are obvious propaganda tropes.
Why look at that map, Ukraine is so close to Russia, of course they should have expected to be invaded! /s
Just falling for craziness meant to distract from what’s actually happening.
If you'd do some research and reading from alternative sources rather than the lying ass mainstream media that told you Trump was a stooge of Putin for 5 years, you'd understand what's really going on. Instead of making childish comments about a world leader with nukes who doesn't want his nation to be part of some stupid Great Reset.
