In Wisconsin, a fight over whether children belong to the state or the parents
American Thinker ^ | 6 Mar, 2022 | Andrea Widburg

This is the most important battle parents face and they’d better engage in it because the other side is loaded for bear and completely insane.

In 1991, the European release of Zero Wing, a Sega video game, contained a now-classic badly translated phrase: “All your base are belong to us.” In the massive battle shaping up across America, public school districts are metaphorically carrying a banner saying “All your children are belong to us” in their battle against parents over children’s gender (not to mention racial issues). What’s happening in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, exemplifies this battle and can be summed up in a sentence from a staff training session: “[P]arents are not entitled to know their kids’ [gender] identities. That knowledge must be earned.”

That arrogant message came from a “professional development facilitator guide” that was used in the school district at a staff development session:

“Teachers are often straddling this complex situation. In ECASD, our priority is supporting the student,” the professional development facilitator guide states. Teachers were encouraged to “Talk amongst yourselves!”

The lesson — that teachers know better than parents about what is best for their kids — is not sitting well with some community members.

“We are appalled that ECASD would display such blatant disregard for the parents and guardians of our community’s children. We are equally dismayed that current school district leadership would pressure teachers into breaking a social contract that we all know and understand—that parents and guardians hold primary responsibility and decision making for the welfare and care of their children,” said parents and school board candidates, Nicole Everson, Corey Cronrath and Melissa Winter in a joint statement.

The government considers that it owns all children. Proof of this is that they come and take your kids if you violate one of their invalid rules.

I've always called it the cereal state because it's full of fruits, nuts and flakes.

In all of the United States, the children belong to the state. Try and do something contrary to what the state wants to see if this is true...

Then homeschool your kids.

Starve the beast.

In my state the beast gets it’s money with or without your kids participating in public schools.

And if you don’t pay your property taxes they take your house and sell it to someone who will.

exactly, it will take GOP will, which is why we’ve had zero school reforms in 40 years.

This was settled years ago in the Supreme Court. Children belong to the State via the schools.

Schools can send children for abortions and other medical procedures without co sent.

Heck Schools here were asking for health insurance information 20 years ago.

They feed them and send home weekend backpacks full of food. they care for them, heck people around here stand in line to get their kids into the leftist state sponsored school preschool.

Starve the beast.

We cannot starve the beast at this point, though we shouldn't feed it.

It doesn't matter how many Methodists and Episcopalians leave for other denominations that follow the Bible more closely, they keep on doing what they do. In the case of the Episcopalians, 100 year old dowager donations have provided enough of an endowment to keep a smaller operation chugging for some time.

There will always be an emergency used to spend more on public schools regardless of how many students actually attend. Unless you are willing to work exclusively in the underground economy and not own real estate, there isn't any real way to starve the beast, we don't have enough political clout to even put it on a diet, and haven't for 80 years.

That dad should have taken the children out a long time ago. Stop funding this garbage. When X number of children are pulled out the schools close

imho...they’re allowing the practice of clinical psychiatry without a license. Teachers have no business engaging in this garbage. They just more than willing to confuse children for the sake of normalizing perversity.

We don’t take kindly to adults harming our children. They need to realize this isn’t avoidable, they’re playing with fire.

Of course.

However the State can argue these points:

· Welfare recepients only survive because of State payments. They are only breeders and nightly caretakers...and not very good at that. See juvenile crime, health stats

· All publice school children are in our care from pre-kindergarten thru grade 12. State feeds them breakfast and lunch and sometimes take away dinner

· Children are transported to schools on our buses more or less safely, any violence is always the fault of ‘parents’. State corrects WrongThink ideas of parents.

· and a host of like minded reasons.

Sounds rather like premise of ‘The Handmaidens Tale’ without the snappy uniforms doesn’t it?

In my day, we still had WWII veterans as teachers.

Thanks for letting me fool you! :)

In all seriousness, I had politically active parents who taught me that what was happening was wrong.

I currently live in S.Central Indiana, little town called Martinsville. My youngest is in college now, but I believe we still have “weekday” here in all the elementary schools where they take you off school property to a nearby church (every elementary school is near one coincidentally) and have non-denominational religious education on Wednesdays every week. Those that parents don’t want them to attend stay at school and do other assignments.

It’s not everywhere yet, but it’s becoming more and more evident that people either fight back or the islands of sanity left will continue to collapse until they by Declaration of Fiat have it all, and our nation will be no more.
