WNBA champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Brittney Griner has been detained in Russia and could face up to 10 years in prison after customs officers found "vapes" containing hashish oil in her luggage back in February, reports say.
The Russian Federal Customs Service released a statement Saturday confirming that an American "two-time Olympic basketball champion" had been taken into custody in February after a narcotics' dog at Sheremetyevo International Airport near Moscow alerted the athlete’s luggage.

“why would she be so stupid?”
She thinks being a black athlete makes her entitled. Taking drugs into a foreign country is a big air ball. No sympathy whatsoever.

I don’t feel sorry for her. This may be the first time in her life she is being held accountable for her bad behavior.

How long before a black leader demands Biden gets her released? That way WE won’t be charged with racism.

Great point. Although I did something stupid along those lines. During the Gulf War I was stopped at customs in Bahrain ..seems I forgot about a handgun in my bag..lol.
The matter was cleared up in a few minutes and I was on my merry way.

Y'know... I've had passing TV familiarity with this creature ever since it's playing days at Baylor. Let's say I'm not a big fan of either zim/zer or zis/zer coach. That's JMO.
That said... I don't envy zim/zer at all, looking at maybe the rest of zis/zer life in a Russian prison. Don't envy zim/zer at all...

>>I think I’ll bring some hash; what could go wrong?
Probably assumed she could just yell ‘racism’ and get out of trouble, it usually works in this country.
Probably won’t fly in Russia though.

From what I’ve seen on YouTube, tattoos are a big deal in Russian prisons at least in the men’s prisons. They are biographical are they not? Detailing where one has served tie and for what crime(s).m
