They were Toronto Metropolitan Police who trains these breed of horses for crowd control and mounted patrols. The only RCMP who have horses these days are the RCMP Show Riders that tour the country, called the RCMP Musical Ride.USED to be every RCMP trainee woukld have a horse for all of basic training in Regina. Socialist Marxist Pierre Trudeau got rid of that and the quality of RCMP officers declined precipitously.The trainees slept right in the stall with their horses on a bunk. BAck then if you couldn’t ride your horse, you could not be RCMP.
