I was going through some "first time heard" videos (NOT through youtube, but through 'FreeTube' (uses Youtube links).. and found this.
Wouldn't have posted, but I noticed his TRUMP posters in the background :D
No idea why I said Dan.. o.o (real brain fart there :P )
When you substitute Huckleberry Finn for Tom Sawyer, you soon see that this song is about Huck rather than Tom.
# His reaction after hearing Yes’ Close to the Edge:
Yes is a good group to do one of these things with, because their music has so much texture.
While he doesn’t really do much of ‘reaction’ stuff, if you really want to watch something interesting musical stuff, check out “Rick Beato” and “What Makes This Song Great?”. He completely dissects great tunes that you have heard all your life and makes you hear them in new and interesting ways. He has changed the way I listen to music, which is saying something. The whole channel is absolutely astounding.
That was a good clip. One of the things I noticed was that Geddy seemed to be pitched much lower than the album for much of the song. The instrumental middle was freaking amazing.
Chris Squire’s solo album “a fish out of water” is one of my favorites
Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Heard themin the 1970's. Thought it was a Zeppelin rip off at first. Really appriciate them now.
Ok, maybe 2. There was another one. Peart is an amazing drummer, but he’s just not my style.
