NASA is a woke joke that does more to keep us on earth than into space.

NASA's primary role is funnelling billions to contractors who aren't actually required to deliver working equipment on time and on budget as long as certain facilities in certain states and districts get funding.

And don't forger that NASA is always subject to a ridiculous amount of micromanagement by Congress, who isn't content to just give them a mission and let them do the engineering; no, Congress goes ahead and tells them how to do it as well.

Having lawyers and politicians telling engineers how to do their job generally results in poorly-performing systems that are late and very expensive.

You got that right! I really wanted the James Webb telescope to get out there and do its job. Just one disappointing setback after another with a project that was 500 million turning into 10 billion. I'm glad , after 26 years , it is finally out there and close to actually producing something.
