Republican Lauren Boebert heckles Joe Biden over US troop deaths in Afghanistan
Republican Congresswoman Lauren Hoebert has heckled US President Joe Biden mid-speech over the deaths of 13 American heroes slain in Afghanistan.
Ms Boebert, along with fellow Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene, jeered at the president mid-way through his State of the Union address.
Mr Biden was elaborating on the health concerns of veterans who had been exposed to toxic burn pits overseas before the interruption.
Although I love to see Biden abused, I don’t think it helps her being regarded as a serious politician.
Crass behavior, even though deserved, isn’t going to sway alot of peoples opinion.
She’ll just be regarded as a right wing wacko, much like we regard the Squad as left wing wackos.
Like Joe Wilson yelling “You lie!” to Obama?

Many of us got exposed to the Canadian style parliamentary heckling over the last month or so.
This certainly could liven up C-SPAN and future State of the Union addresses.

Yup. Although most people who sit through a whole SOTU are probably already one way or another politically, this type of stuff doesn’t help with those who aren’t.
Criticize such things afterwards, when people are spinning the audience with their takes.

This is why Democrats keep winning and influencing change... because they get in the mud, while the GOP is afraid to get their suits dirty.
Boebert did what everyone else in that gallery should have done.
Who cares how they regard her? They used to beat each other with canes and challenge each other to duels in Congress. Pretty sure they heckled each other during speeches too. This idea of genteelness in the halls of Congress is a modern construct brought on by the availability of media to broadcast the everyday goings on.
We need more strong voices from the rabble to drown out the prissy princelings now lisping us to a tragic future.

The “Don’t Rock The Boat”. Keep things civil to the point of being doormats group is back in full force along with the Never Trumpers. Could we be in an election year? The issue is that 13 lives were thrown away last August and American citizens were left stranded in a hostile environment. Yet Biden can’t be pursued Ed to mention anyone but his dead son—- now for what, the 7th time? But us, those who have been harmed, we must play nice and keep our mouths shut. Sorry ain’t happening. The outrage is too much; the countries betrayal too stark and far too egregious. I applaud Loren Bobert for what she did. It’s refreshing to see a politician actually stand behind something for the people! I called her office and gave her my thanks.

The leader of the house, Nancy Pelosi opened the door to antics, shouting and less decorum by ripping up the Trump address. Thus, the dems and the media no longer have standing to complain.

I don’t remember the same level of media outrage when Pelosi tore up Trump’s SOTU along with her little mocking applause gesture.
I don't remember ANY coverage, Nancy was asked about it ONCE and snapped an answer and it died right then and there.
