Vanity: Biden/Blinken, et al, are driving Putin straight to China.

They're trying to bankrupt Putin through financial sanctions, but we (and others) are still buying Russian oil? And we're also financing Russia via China and it's impossible to cut that off.

Prayers up.

I’d like to know exactly who is really in charge of this fiasco, I don’t think it actually is Biden. If it was Biden in charge things would be even worse than they are...hard as that is to imagine.

Don’t know but think we’re still importing.

Well if we can dump some of the worst offenders like McConnell, Cheney, Kinzinger, Romney and the like I suspect the others will start to take notice and either change their corrupt ways or they can look forward to getting dumped too. It’s not gonna happen overnight, but we’ve got to keep holding their feet to the fire.

Sounds like a cop out from Psaki:In a Monday press conference, White House press secretary Jen Psaki noted that decisions to import oil are made by the private sector. “The U.S. government doesn’t dictate where the U.S. market sells our own oil and gas products nor where it acquires crude or refined products from for domestic consumption. This is all up to the private sector, other than exceptions like countries under sanctions,” she said.

But sounds like they have Dems (Markey and Manchin) on board with a bill. They will need to uncuff the industry, I can't imagine the Left will allow Brandon to do that.

McConnell and Romney are both old, reality will so take them out. The problem is whether there is anyone in the wings who can be MAGA-oriented and win. I have no idea! Be aware that Kentucky likes its goivernment cheese!

“.. Cheney, Kinzinger, ...” They’re likly leaving in Novermber! They are almsot yesterday’s news!

“China (CCP) is gaming the West with a classic “good-cop/bad-cop” play.”

I think it’s Biden good cop, Putin bad cop and they have a plan.

They’ve been doing it since Mao died.

https://www.opensecrets.org/news/2020/12/biden-cabinet-picks-worked-at-pricate-equityfirm/

Two of President-elect Joe Biden’s Cabinet nominees worked alongside top Washington lobbyists at a private equity firm that touted its “access, network and expertise” in the defense industry.

Retired Gen. Lloyd Austin, Biden’s pick for secretary of defense, and Antony Blinken, his choice to lead the State Department, worked as “D.C. partners” for Pine Island Capital Partners, an investment firm specializing in defense companies. They advised the firm alongside several influential lawmakers-turned-lobbyists, including former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle and former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt, each of whom run their own lobbying firms that attract foreign and domestic clients. . .

Pine Island Capital Partners recently raised $218 million — drawing funds from Wall Street firms — to invest in military and aerospace companies. This year, the firm acquired Precinmac, a machine components company that hopes to break into the defense and aerospace industries, and InVeris Training Solutions, which contracts with the Army to provide virtual weapons training simulations.

Biden has come under pressure from activist groups to keep corporate lobbyists out of his cabinet. And while Austin and Blinken never registered as lobbyists after leaving government, they advised powerful firms that could benefit from their experience — and connections.

Austin served as commander of the U.S. Central Command for three years before retiring in 2016. From there, he joined the boards of several powerful companies, including defense contractor United Technologies. When industry giant Raytheon acquired United Technologies, it kept Austin on its board. He earned seven figures from the two companies in four years.

Well, they can try. If they are successful, I’m pretty sure it’s going to push a lot of people over the edge. It will be interesting times.
