The Expiration date for the surrendering Russians rations is 2015.
The Ukrainians are in disbelief at what they’re finding.

I saw that! Food expired 7 years ago.
Russians are raiding Ukrainian stores for food and diesel.
Plus jewelry stores, banks, etc. They are Russian soldiers after all.

The expired rations are a step up from the staple on many Russian bases:

The Expiration date for the surrendering Russians rations is 2015.What, they don't use the "best by" date?
While I was serving in the Navy in about 1962 or '63, a shipmate and I were tasked with cleaning out a 50' utility boat. We opened a storage locker and found survival rations with packing dates in 1944...WWII stuff. Hardtack, candy of a jellied type, unlabeled cans, and cigarettes.
