So, instead of reports of winning, there are only reports of morale and hoping that dooms Russia. Sissies.

I read the French “Lets you and him fight!” where some minister said that NATO had nukes or something like that.
My general response was that he needed to be bound, gagged, and publicly beaten so that the Russian know that a ‘first strike’ is not on the table. At all. Period.

If you take prisoners you have to guard and sustain them. Better to take no prisoners. Your alternatives are then to kill them or send them home. If they go home, the enemy’s rear echelon political cadre will take care of the killing for you.

I can’t believe I just said that. Must be Satan.

They want to egg on the Ukrainians, so they can fight to the last Ukrainian.

Maybe, just maybe, Putin’s conditions for Ukraine aren’t that bad. Yes, Ukraine may have to take the “L”, but the conditions may not have been as bad as our media would have made them out to be. And I certainly do not think Putin’s intention was to occupy Ukraine.

The Expiration date for the surrendering Russians rations is 2015.

What, they don't use the "best by" date?

While I was serving in the Navy in about 1962 or '63, a shipmate and I were tasked with cleaning out a 50' utility boat. We opened a storage locker and found survival rations with packing dates in 1944...WWII stuff. Hardtack, candy of a jellied type, unlabeled cans, and cigarettes.

He wants a puppet, that's about it. so in effect he can occupy without occupying. Like he has done elsewhere, same roadmap.

Also, can you really occupy a semi modern country in these times?

Nobody has to recognize the government then, and the sanctions can still be in place. In a way, Putin has lost some leverage here. He might be more willing to make some concessions just to get this behind him with some honor.

But that of course, won’t be good enough for Biden and the banshees wanting revenge on Putin for 2016.

***Uhh, he’s already BEEN occupying part of Ukraine, the Crimea, since 2014. What gives you the idea he doesn’t want to simply annex Ukraine? Because he said so? Like how he said so that it was just a military exercise along those borders?

the sanctions can still be in place

But they won' for long, people get hungry, they will want Russian wheat, they get cold, they will want Russian energy. The sanctions will drift in Putin's favor. What will he agree to? safety of the people of Ukraine, he'll stop murdering them.

I'm not sure what you mean. As much as we can influence Ukraine and have dirty deals with them at our government's highest levels, they are still rogue and not our puppets entirely.

“Where is the Russian propaganda”

Russia won’t let the media report that this is a war.

Its a military special operation.

They want to hide deaths from their population.

Facebook and twitter have been censored in RU.

I see tons of Ukrainian propaganda, but little or no Russian propaganda. At the very minimum there should be an explanation as to ethical and moral reason why Russia had to invade Ukraine.

This is a peacekeeping mission, not an invasion.

Just a thought here. Ukraine is is full of ethnic Russians. Is a Russian fighter going to be trigger happy knowing they have relatives in battle zones?

I just watched a cell phone video of a Russian tank column that stopped because a Ukrainian milk truck driver parked his truck across the road. Its like for the lead Russian tank- ‘ok now what do I do?’. From what I have seen this is not the Russian Army of 1945, or the one in Hungary in 1956 or the one in Afghanistan or Chechnya! Unmotivated barely describes their behavior!

I would think that the Russians would at least want to make their case. I would be willing to listen.

“This is a peacekeeping mission, not an invasion.”

For the Russian conscripts, it is just “exercises”.
