Mandates are going, going, gone and if people want to wear their own mask it’s their choice. Ridiculing them or making light of their situations which is none of anyone elses business... and is absolutely imbecilic.

I swear this site is festering with basement dwelling lurkers, of ill repute.

As a CTA regular, I must continue to endure fellow passengers who insist on riding mask-free,

Idiot.

If masks work, you don't need to fear the unmasked

If the covid vaccines work, you don't need to fear the unvaxxed

Laura needs to read this...
Psycho-socio affection for masks

Bill Maher, late night talk show host, in former times an unrepentant lefty, apparently has been red-pilled. In commenting on the pathology of mask wearers, and usefulness of masks per se, he says a mask is merely an “amulet.”

Amulet, a pithy descriptor of a CCP Covid mask, is akin to a fashion piece of neckwear or bracelet, sometimes associated with warding off evil or unclean spirits, otherwise bringing good fortune.

A mask also operates as a talisman, conveying some special powers, enhanced by the mystery of how the spirit occupies the soul behind the mask.

Amulet and talisman are perfect descriptors. I still like "maskerbators" to describe the irrational souls still using the amulet and talisman.

Free people hate masks. Wearing one is an evil necessity you endure to be safe. Free people know when they need one, like when working in a polyvinylchloride work envinment or with airborne lead. Even if you are terribly allergic and wear an appropriate mask to prevent breathing pollen and other allergens.

The key is hating masks.

During Covid, I saw all manner of idiots wearing all kinds of cutsey fashion-statement masks from rainbows to leopard skin, etc. As if it was cool and fun to wear a mask. You should hate flat having to wear a mask, any mask, any time even when you have to. You tolerate it, you don’t embrace it.

A pox on all of those who had “fun” with their designer masks. You make me sick.

For anyone who has had the mis-fortune of reading Laura Washington in The Chicago Slum Times, she is to the Left of Mao and Stalin - a complete liberal lunatic.

I wear an N95 mask in stores and such.

Wife and I both caught COVID a month ago. My recovery has been pretty easy, but she's had a tougher time.

Right now, I don't even want to risk bringing a cold home.

I'm not "anti-mask" or "pro mask." I'm just for leaving it to the individual to decide, depending on circumstances. I don't enjoy wearing it now, but it's for the best at the moment.

How often does she wash or replace the nasty, bacteria-laden thing?

If people want to wear those muzzles, I don’t have a problem with it. In fact, I like the way it makes it easy to identify liberals in public places. (Yes, I know there are a few - very few - exceptions, so don’t get your little masks all in a bunch, maskies.)

Just don’t try to make other people cover their breathing holes. M’kay?

If she wants to continue wearing a mask, more power to her. But it’s clear from writing this article it comes more from a sense of arrogance and looking down on other people than from a sense of public safety.

Viruses walking across the border down south, being transported all over the United States by the government, and not once being tested for anything let alone covid. And I’m talkin TB polio smallpox...

Wearing masks in public places might not be such a bad idea afterall.

My objection was never about those people who chose to wear masks. Even before COVID was an issue in the US I would see Asian women wearing masks during cold season and it is commonplace in crowded areas of Tokyo. What I objected to was
the mistaken notion that mandating everyone to wear a mask was medically necessary or effective at protecting people who weren’t infected from those that were.

People carry rabbit’s feet and hang garlic cloves around their necks to protect them from all kinds of imagined demons. That’s their misfortune until they want the rest of us to go along with their fantasy.

“I remain afraid — of those who are not afraid.”

Pathetic.

Especially since the same crowd in late February / early March of 2020 were attacking those *were* wearing masks as being selfish, wasting scarce resources, etc. for something that was “totally ineffective” (their words).

“I am fully vaxxed and boosted. I am among the lucky ones, having dodged the coronavirus for nearly two years. I am in no hurry to end that streak.”

She says that she is “lucky”, even though she masks and inoculates herself. That is “good enough” for her, and she wishes her standards of good enough be forced on people with “foolish notions of freedom”.

If she were truly interested in avoiding Covid, she would have sealed herself hermetically, like a bubble boy. Inconvenient, but not impossible. And yet she is willing to settle for “good enough”. Apparently she has her own “foolish notions of freedom”. Hypocrite.

Here's the great thing 'Karen', we won't tell you what to do. You want to wear a mask, so be it. I could honestly not care any less.

I will bet you won't last long without getting tired of wearing when you aren't forced to, though.
