Re: chocolate. See if you can’t develop a taste for very-high-cocoa-content chocolate. Start with 72% and work your way up to 85% or more. It’s an acquired taste, but you’ll avoid the very high sugar content of crappy milk chocolate (pardon my French). Also, the “calories in, calories out” notion is terribly inaccurate. A filet mignon and a Snickers bar may give the same readings in a bomb calorimeter, but their effect on the body is completely different. Very low carb / keto works like magic for weight loss.
