Russia 'Prepared To Use Thermobaric Bombs On Ukrainian Civilians'
Yahoo News ^ | February 25, 2022 | Kevin Schofield

Frustrated Russian forces are prepared to “indiscriminately” use thermobaric bombs to seize control of Ukraine, Western officials believe.

One western official said it was “likely” that Russia failed to achieve its main objectives on day one of its invasion of Ukraine.

The official added: “And my fear with those objectives, that timescale not being met, is if that continues to be a theme where they are delayed and then my concern is that that Russia uses indiscriminate use of indirect fire, particularly artillery systems, thermobaric weapons - which we know Russia has both in its armoury and has used in previous conflicts.

“Putin had no choice here, if Ukraine was accepted into NATO then it would have been the same scenario as the Cuban Missile crisis. Hi-tech weaponry right in Russia’s back yard.”

Considering that we nearly started WW3 when Soviet missiles showed up on our doorstep (Cuba), it doesn’t take much imagination to understand why Putin isn’t too hot on Ukraine joining NATO.

“The Russians are clearly within artillery range of Kyiv. However entering the city with tanks and infantry against well entrenched, stout defenders who know the terrain will not be easy or without cost. Soon the world will see videos of dead Russians.”

Agree that house-to-house is tough, but Russia will likely avoid the body bags in Moscow by sending in the Chechens.

“That is just kindergarten logic. If he takes Ukraine he is bang up against NATO.”

Not quite, it is UKRAINE that his bang-up against NATO, not Russia.

All speculation. I am watching all of Putin’s speeches and taking him literally. He has not mentioned this.

” Just read on CNN that if Russia actually uses a thermobaric bomb that the Biden Administration is now prepared to use their absolute extreme measure against Putin and be forced to give Russia a One Star Rating on YELP!!! They hoped it would never come to using such an extreme measure.”

Hard to imagine Biden taking such a BOLD step.

“I’d expect Biden, Austin and Milley to drop thermobaric bombs on a large gathering of conservative patriots before I’d expect Putin to turn the entire world against him by doing something like this”

Agree. If he uses them, it will be on military targets. But if they fight like Palestinians, for example, lots of civilians will pay too.

“Putin had no choice here, “

Oh bull$hit. Exactly like saying Hitler had no choice to go into Poland.
Quit cheerleading this dirtbag.

I've been seeing reporting on Fox News that people close to Putin have said that "something has changed" about him recently. They say this as if to suggest that he's acting now for his "legacy" to rebuild the fallen Soviet Union.

If it's true that Putin's demeanor has changed, then why? Could it be that he's been recently diagnosed with an incurable illness? What could cause him to act so rashly, so suddenly, and without regard to what the rest of the world thinks?

Is it more than just Biden in the White House? Does Putin feel that his time is running out for some reason?

Yep have seen it over the years. Sickening. Putin is a KGB thug that would bomb any Freepers home in a heartbeat with no remorse if it helped his agenda.

Just because we have a weak President doesn’t mean we cheerlead a thug.
