Frustrated Russian forces are prepared to “indiscriminately” use thermobaric bombs to seize control of Ukraine, Western officials believe.
One western official said it was “likely” that Russia failed to achieve its main objectives on day one of its invasion of Ukraine.
The official added: “And my fear with those objectives, that timescale not being met, is if that continues to be a theme where they are delayed and then my concern is that that Russia uses indiscriminate use of indirect fire, particularly artillery systems, thermobaric weapons - which we know Russia has both in its armoury and has used in previous conflicts.

Ukraine could never have joined NATO. They would have needed all 30 members to accept them, and Ukraine could not have territorial disputes. Putin is lying and no one with any knowledge believes him. If Russia annexes Ukraine, man more NATO countries will be on its borders.

I’m leaning towards Putin being terminally ill.
He was doing fairly decent at winning some people over with his posturing on the church, traditional values, the family etcetera.
I at times felt more in line with Putin than say Obama or Biden and I would have to kick myself because I know who he is and how stupid I was being.
Why did he suddenly go balls to the wall? Only thing I can think of is that he has run out of time and he wants to see the USA fall and he wants the USSR back.
Plus Biden...he’s gotta strike while he can. It may be he sees Biden running out of time. Anyhow, it seems Putin is up against some clock that we don’t know.
