I suspect that at some point as populations decline, we will have manufactured people. They may be “born” at a biological age to be a soldier or worker and they will be tailored to that task and probably educated in utero by wiring their brain to learn at an accelerated rate. My supposition would be that these manufactured people would, in most countries, have no rights. When you can program someone can you also allow them to vote? And if they aren’t preprogramed to die then if they can own property they could become very wealthy, which might mean they are no longer interested in the tasks for which they were made. So, no political or property rights.
China and most western countries have already reached a point of demographic decline that will mean supporting their current aging populations will become impossible.
