third tallest building in San Fransicko built on SF Bay mud
(and reportedly without foundational pillars into bedrock far below?)
this doesn’t look like it will end well (except for the attorney fees, of course)
Tower will fall with a heavy *splook*.
LOL, oh goodness. Our country is dying...
They’ve done it. It rolls.

I think a lawyer should sue and place a lien on the building
Problem Solved
I need a smoke..
What's interesting is that the Salesforce Tower across the street doesn't seem to be experiencing this problem.

Part of why San Francisco real estate is so crazy expensive.
Lots of infill which can *never* be stabilized enough for high rises, PLUS earthquakes - and those can not only knock down buildings, which is bad enough, but liquify the ground underneath ones that aren’t knocked down. Every so often some ignorant dingbat blames zoning or building codes, but the reality is that most of what is here is built up as much as it can safely be. As if bums going poop and organized looting weren’t bad enough.
I have been watching videos produced by Building Integrity a Florida Engineering company. They recently produced an excellent video detailing exactly the problem with the San Francisco structure.
The foundation is poorly designed and is by my interpretation of the video destined to irremediable failure. I’ll not go into the details but they are all very well and understandably presented in the video.

BI has a whole series of detailed videos describing the condo failure in south Florida including several describing and commenting on the law suits. The videos may actually be produced for use as evidence/testimony
Worked for scumbag Bill Clinton, until Paula I.d.’d it.
This one is worse IMHO. But, in sh,thole NYC. https://www.curbed.com/2021/09/432-park-new-lawsuit-macklowe.html
This video explains how they are fixing it by driving new piles on the exterior of the building and tying them to the structure. Although at the end of the video, it appears that the drilling for the new piles may be exacerbating the tilt.
What Really Happened at the Millennium Tower?
Maybe they can stuff all the human waste, needles, and garbage from downtown under the foundation to prop it up.
“Is the financial district built on top of fill, by any chance?”
It was built in the general proximity of a major fault line. One should not do this.

10cc was never clear on whether Life is a Minestrone or a RollerCoaster we all ride...
Death is a cold lasagna..................
I can say for a fact they are not the only conservatives in the building. I know of 3 other conservatives that live there too. (not me) :-)
Bedrock Baby! Salesforce Tower Takes Not-So-Subtle Jab At Millennium Tower
I think it’s on fill and that’s the problem. yes.
