The husband of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins has said he was “so angry” that actor Alec Baldwin denied responsibility for her death after Baldwin shot her during the filming of the Western “Rust.”
In his first interview since filing a wrongful death lawsuit against Baldwin and about two dozen other defendants last week, Matt Hutchins was asked if he had watched Baldwin’s December interview with ABC News in which the actor said he was not responsible for Halyna’s death.
“I was just so angry to see him talk about her death so publicly, in such a detailed way and then to not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her,” Hutchins said in a clip aired on Wednesday from a Today program interview.

Yeah, jeez, Arec admitted he was holding the gun when it had the audacity to go off by itself...what more do they want from the poor guy?

I never figured the low IQ, volatile Baldwin as a privileged member of the deep-state.
Oh sure, he was a Hollywood “entertainer” who carried water for them and the Left, but I never imagined him to be someone who could so easily skate from such an obvious 3rd degree murder charge.
Well, he could Execute the Gun, ... and anyone who's ever entered a Gun Store while NOT belonging to The Screen Actors Guild.
I'm sure he'd be willing to do that.
I would make a lousy actor. I’ve never pointed a gun with a closed action at anything I did not intend to possibly destroy.
Did the wake up call startle you?
Baldwin shared a hug with Matt Hutchins
Me too, on both.
The club is bigger than I thought. And its membership standards can't be very high if Baldwin is a member.
Don’t feel bad, I was 40 years old before I figured it out.
I would imagine that was before Baldwin refused to take responsibility for what he had done. At that point he likely felt it was a tragic accident- but then details, came out and proved baldwin was the major negligent person in the series of events and now refuses to even admit that.
Baldwin is one of six producers, and obviously an actor.
How live rounds were allowed onto a movie set is beyond me.
I don’t see how he is personally, in a financial sense, accountable for this.
His Production LLC, most likely is. I would assume the LLC has insurance, but I don’t know as to whether this incident would be covered.
Baldwin broke 17 different safety procedures, and refused to take lessons on how how cross draw safely. He is the major reason why one is dead and one injured. There are some others to blame as well, but their involvement is minimal compared to Baldwin’s responsibility. He broke many safety protocols, and all of them were vital to protecting others and the gun handler.
Baldwin’s reaction to this case is really disgusting and shameful
There is no such law in New Mexico.
Alec Baldwin still did not check the weapon and pulled the weapon out of the holster and pointed the gun at a woman and killed her.
There are videos showing how the gun has to be cocked to be fired. He had to have fired the weapon himself and not the gun going off by itself. Where are all the other thousands of owners of this weapon saying the gun just fires itself?!
Here is actor John Schneider video of him using the same weapon:
3.1 million views https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwYvvTu-UYM
More from him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Sa5LIfNaKs
NOTE: he did not shoot himself even though the weapon was in his holster and later in his hand. He is claiming it fired only when the gun was pointed by him at a innocent person.
Evidently the armorer had an instructional meeting for handling firearms on the set and Arec declined to attend.
Someone is surely to blame for this, but my own two cents is it isn’t Baldwin,[D] unless there is evidence I don’t know about.
I disagree and here is why.
[A]. He is to blame because he operated the firearm in a negligent manner. Not checking it's status when picking it up. Pointing it a a person. Operating it incorrectly.
[B]. His not knowing is a DIRECT result of declining training and not paying to have the Armorer present. His decisions alone.
[C]. At 21 I had never seen a blank before I was issued same in training on my M-16 and understood the difference without explanation.
[D]. Any sort of analysis of contributory negligence shows that Baldwin is 80% at fault and nothing would have happened from someone putting a live round in that weapon but for the actions of his I have outlined. Negligent homicide or manslaughter IMHO depending on state law.
Here in Hollywood, I personally know the husband’s producer partners. They told us the claim that Arec Barwin apologized to him was nonsense. The way one of them told us is that it was done with ‘NO REMORSE’. If you made a poll of how many people in Hollywood, execs in studios who want to see AB hang, it’s close to 80%.
Hey max, any scoop on what’s going on with this?
I would say whoever put an actual live round into the gun is most responsible.
Gun safety rules are not laws.
Baldwin is an absolute jerk of the highest order, but I’m attempting to look at it dispassionately.
