The long nose is to soften the sonic boom and to send as much of it as possible up rather than down, to lower the sonic footprint of the aircraft.

The goal is to find a design that will allow supersonic flight over inhabited land.

I understand the shape dictates the sonic signature, or lack thereof, but it looks like something McDonnell/Douglas made in 1957.

With all the embedded PRCs here in the US I’m sure the PRCs already have the blueprints and a working model.

SpaceX’s Starship will go anywhere on earth in 1 hour. Goals is to have launches set 3-4 hours apart, carrying 100-200 tons.

NASA’s X-59 is obsolete before it is even built.
