Out of nowhere he comes up with an 11 point plan. This is 9 months before November. Sounds like another Contract With America that everyone will follow. As I remember the 1994 contract was revealed in late September after much anticipation. It confined the campaign to 6 weeks and turned the rats into drama queens. This may be a peak-too-early idea that could fade. What's in it for him going alone?
Did I ever say it was a finished product ??
My point is compared to what other Republicans are offering which is nothing it is a solid start
The other point is, you can’t just be anti-Democrat you need to be pro something and Scott’s document is that
Finally I said let it play out before bashing him which obviously you never read or you want to condemn everything Republican immediately sort of what liberals do
It's as finished as it's ever going to be. It's served its purpose and generated a little media attention.
My point is compared to what other Republicans are offering which is nothing it is a solid start.
Of course it is.
The other point is, you can’t just be anti-Democrat you need to be pro something and Scott’s document is that.
It is that.

I have no problem supporting serious proposals, and if Scott would like to immediately change it to a serious proposal in my eyes then all he has to do is present his detailed, balanced, 2023 federal budget. Do that I'll I start paying attention to the rest.
Which is why it's our job to make sure Trump isn't alone, and supporting RINOs isn't going to get it done. And yes, sometimes even Trump has to compromise and support RINOs because he doesn't have much of a choice.
He is doing what the double-agent, deep state RINOs do. He is posturing to convince enough of the voting base that he is worth voting for. The same is true of Rubio. They are both double-agent, deep state RINOs. Nothing will change unless we can primary them with MAGA candidates.
#1-Pledge of Allegiance-no go. Leads to facism.
#5-Starve Washington’s economy. Move departments as well as congressional sessions like the NFL draft got around to doing. Closer to the people.
#^6-Eliminate programs. Good luck with that one. We give up too easy(Arnold).
#7-Rigging elections. Make GOVERNORS and state legislators sign it!
#10-God. Just don’t use the term too much. Makes us sound weird.
#11-Globalists? A teachable one saved for last. The Trump Wall can be put in this one.
OK people. This is a good start for serious summer discussion. Pare it down to 5 or 6 points. Make it populist for everyone to see and understand while Biden flounders. State legislatures may be the big target but senator-initiated(from the top) may be the best way.
Scott is a light weight and his proposal will likely never be modified, I was referring to the Republicans as a collective, Scott’s proposal is a start and before we dismiss it and bash him let it play out is my point, crapping on it immediately is not smart IMO
Scott is being accused by the MSM of “breaking with McConnell by submitting a far-right agenda” which so far actually appears to be correct, to me. You can get a dose of their freak out here, which indicates he’s probably right on target.

All things they talk about every 2-4-6 years, NEVER DO.
All they want is one more term. Hard to walk away from the money trough.
I agree that Scott is a lightweight and that the GOP needs something to run on. But this conglomeration of crap is not that. Put together something intelligent with a half a dozen solid, achievable goals and then they may have something. Until then supporting joke press releases like this isn't helpful.
Ask Kentucky about Rick.
It’s astounding how he resurrected himself from near incarceration
Strong words. Which of his proposals are you specifically against? Surely must be several based on your reaction. Thanks.
I mentioned several in my reply 35.
Distance from Donald Trump? Rick Scott bullish on Mitch McConnell, Lisa Murkowski (2.16.22; non-FR)
Corrections, insights welcome.
*Scott-light weight/crapping on it immediately is not smart IMO* Scott stepped up in ‘18. He was our top tier candidate and should be taken seriously.
*sometimes even Trump has to compromise and support RINOs because he doesn’t have much of a choice.*
Bingo! Not an ‘exciting’ declaration but proper nonetheless. We need 55+ senators to deal with the rinos amongst us. 50 ain’t makin’ it-dig?
The Constitution of the United States is the original Contract with America, but large portions of it are being ignored by those sworn to uphold it.
I think that is what I’ve been saying all along.
Fooling the rubes to re-elect his Assistant Democrat friends.
No, put the irresponsible parents in the workhouse and place the kids with solid, God-fearing foster families to be raised right.
Trump did.
But of course that's not what he said. Anyone who won't work, won't eat.
