Yep Peter, I'm right there with you.   I even started to learn to speak Russian.   I felt as if I owed them that.

Russian refuseniks moved into the house next door.   Marat passed away a few months ago and Galina is alone now.   Such good and caring people and more anti communist than I am, if that could be possible.   My learning Russian fell by the wayside but Galina's English got better.

Hillary's reset button was the lowest point, in spite of what Resident Biden claims now.

I have discovered the same thing.
Russians I have met have been friendly and far more conservative than the GOP-e.
Also highly intelligent and hard workers.
