If you really want to hurt Canada have an American team win the Stanley Cup. American teams are well practised at that since its been happening every year since 1994 . To really rub salt in the wound have Arizona Coyotes win it. I know they’re close to dead last right now but I’m sure Garry Bettman could swing something.
Actually, if you really want to hurt Canadians through hockey, a Canadian team winning Lord Stanley’s Cup would cost the Canadian Healthcare System PLENTY of money.
Why?
It’s been a long time since a Canadian team won the Cup. The shock of such a happening, would cause MANY heart attacks, FLOODING hospital ERs across the country!
