Hard to imagine a former dairy farmer and congresscritter might not have got his tech CEO role down.

I think you both are confusing CEO's roles with the roles of CTO's. Many CEOs know very little about the firm they lead, at least when they are hired. What they do know, or are supposed to know, is how to run a company, successfully.

The CTO is the one responsible here. 🙂
