Freedom Convoy truckers headed for DC plan to clog the capital's vital Beltway interstate - with one likening the protest to a deadly boa constrictor.
Bob Bolus, who's leading a fleet of transports from Pennsylvania to Washington on Wednesday, plans to help shut down the Capital Beltway on Friday in protest of vaccine mandates, pandemic-related restrictions, and more.
The 64 mile road - whose formal name is the I-495 - encircles the capital, and is its most vital ground transportation link. One lane will be left open for emergency vehicles, but Bolus has said 'tough luck' to commuters.
'The Beltway will be shut down,' Bolus told Fox News. 'I'll give you an analogy of that of a giant boa constrictor that basically squeezes you, chokes you, and then swallows you. And that's what we're going to do to DC.'
'We will not compromise anybody's safety or health. As far as if they [people] can't get to work, geez, that's too bad.'
Bolus said in a flyer that he's leading a group of truckers from Harrisburg to Washington to take a stand against President Joe Biden's 'tyrannical machine's attempt to remove our inalienable rights.'
His team is among numerous groups of truckers who are headed to DC in protest of President Joe Biden's administrative policies.

LEWISBURG — A well-known Scranton area business man and several members of his family have been hit with theft and fraud charges from the state attorney general’s office.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane announced charges against Minuteman companies and its owner Brian Bolus, along with family members Bob Bolus Sr., Robert Bolus Jr., Debra Bolus, Julie Bolus, and Sophie Gregory. . .
Prosecutors say Minuteman’s owner, Brian Bolus, violated the state’s clean streams law and solid waste management act, by illegally dumping waste water from well sites.
“They are small-minded, petty, poorly investigated, relying solely on information from a tiny number of disenchanted former employees,” said Brian Bolus’ attorney Joshua Lock.
The attorney general’s office disagrees.
The other four are Brian’s brother Bob Bolus Jr., his mother Julie Bolus, his sister Debra Bolus, and his father’s fiancée Sophie Gregory. They have been labelled ghost employees of Minuteman or Bolus Truck Parts and Towing Services/
Investigators say these so-called ghost employees were not on the payroll but were listed as employees so they could be on a company’s health care plan.
All four are charged with 16 counts of insurance fraud and other charges. . .

A better way to shutdown DC is refuse to file an income tax return on April 15th.

When I left the DC area in 1992 the Beltway didn’t need any help to be a parking lot. I remember being in stop and go for 3 hours at 2 in the morning with no construction or accident.
The truckers should stand down for repairs. Out of service.

I’ve been on the beltway during rush hour after visiting Mount Vernon. It was a nightmare.
I was good with the idea of turning DC into a parking lot to keep protestors threatening the life of President Trump from getting in, or if they were already in, from getting away, but that was a short term solution to a DC establishment that was dragging its feet to protect the fricking president! This is not that.
These guys are laying the groundwork for other groups to be able to do the same, which is a development that BLM, Xi, and any number of terrorist organizations would love to exploit. Our highways are common property and they are NOT for various groups of people to shut down at will because of some cause or another!
