I agree with all you have said here.

We really need all this to come out and there to be a public reckoning.

Otherwise all this becomes precedent. The next thing that rolls in, we start up right where we left off. Vax passports almost from day one.

I think that was the point.

Pharma has been pushing for mandatory vaccines for years. They have had great success using education (getting every bullshit vaccine -HPV for example- made mandatory for kids in public schools) and in some more progressive states.

What you state by mentioning a “precedent,” that is exactly the idea and at least some did have that idea in their head from day one.

Think about this one: “following the science,” the experts can't even get something as simple as the food pyramid right, revising it again in 2005. Our government in their awesome efforts to ensure the highest quality food is provided to our children, and guided by business interests, declared pizza as a vegetable in 2011: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/cifamerica/2011/nov/18/pizza-vegetable-congress-says-so And these are the experts that are supposed to tell you with 100% certainty that something which dicks around with your DNA doesn't have any unforeseen consequences? they don't even completely know for sure (in detail) how it all works!

ANYTHING politicians touch goes through a political and economic filter. Even if there is a shred of truth to the issue, by the time government comes up with their solution, they often offer NOTHING to actually fix the original problem statement. However, it does provide some politician an opportunity to speak into a camera and some business to make billions - that is ALWAYS the case may it be with agriculture, defense, disease control, education, the environment... How many decades has the Department of education been improving public education? Has it gotten better? How many years has the DEA been fighting their “war on drugs?” Has it gotten any better? Hahaha

What really happens is billions are funneled to Musk in the form of subsidies, billions are funneled to big pharma, billions are funneled to defense contractors, billions are funneled to corporate agra, some higher ed or publishers, an environmental CO2 brokerage... It's gotten so bad, that folks like Gore are basically ripping every American off even as they sleep at night, getting a little slice of their wealth as he gets his cut from his CO2 brokerage selling a “make belief” product not unlike a pet rock. What is always the case is that politicians sell themselves, some government bureaucracy gets a massive increase in their budget (someone has to oversee it all, right?) and some mega corporation makes billions (millions are for losers). Do you think you're any safer because of a TSA (Only 9 billion a year - chump change for our government)? How about that "consumer protection agency," when have they helped you, have you seen anything improve, really?

***The ONLY lesson learned from Covid: When the US government shut down, and 75% of all federal employees stayed home for 6 months, NOTHING changed or happened. It was a day like any other. The sun came up in the morning, and went down in the evening. How is that possible? Isn't it the US government and EPA that is making sure we don't fall out of orbit and into the sun?
