It is the entire URL, going for other UN pages gives a 404 error.
Searching for ANY news on this comes up dry. The only thing I've found so far is old, but perhaps noteworthy:

Also of note, the UN FB/Instagram pages are still up and active.
Seems to me very odd for the UN site to be down even 1 day without some news somewhere on it. Site says "scheduled" maintenance, so one might expect some news story in advance warning that it would be down. I checked 3 web search platforms (google, yandex, DDG).
Not sure what yet to make of this, however, this may be the beginnings of something that the FR community has been rooting for since inception.
They may be implementing something in relation to Klaus Schwab.
What a shame.
Maybe some flowers? (black).
They moved their advance party personnel to ottawa to set up new HQ in a more compliant environment??
un.org is up for me, but they have the alignment of the language boxes off by one. Choosing English brings up the French homepage.

3 days of downtime... was that to add a language selector? Or, was it hacked, and brought back up?
Just checked. It’s up for me.
Looks like the website still has lots of issues. Once I got to the English home page, some of the links to stories on that page return 404. Other links work.
Did a search for united nations. DuckDuckGo top link goes to en version.
Website works fine.
Interesting choice of times to have a “planned maintenance” of the entire UN website.
Goes down, presumably with no pre-announcement, late Friday or early Saturday. Comes back up Monday morning. Russia annexes the separatist regions of Ukraine Monday afternoon.
