.@RandPaul "It looks like the dam is breaking. If you look at Democrat cities and Democrat states, even they are hearing from Democrat parents [...] saying, 'We're tired of this, we're not going to do it anymore and our kids need to have the freedom to take the mask off'."

Some parts of the country must be well behind other parts.
The real crime in bars/restaurants has been all the hardworking services who have to wear those damn things for 10 hours straight while serving all those people who aren’t. It is cruel and ridiculous, and it is no wonder most places are short-staffed now.
This is what Rand want to end
Come to Georgia.
End Joe Crow.
Free at last..free at last..
“Come to Georgia”
Then come to Florida to see real freedom!
I have been pondering just that, actually.
At restaurants 3x this past week. Zero masks
Lowes. Zero masks
Costco does not require masks of customers but a lot do wear them. Employees have to wear them.
It now feels strange to be in Costco.
My sister-in-law lives in Cocoa. It seems nice in that area. (Lost my brother three years ago)
My Lowe’s delivery driver showed up last night wearing a chin diaper. Understandable in that he was only driving. While in the store I noticed some employees were wearing masks and some were not. It appears mostly black employees, like my driver, were wearing them and I only noticed one Caucasian with a mask. Back to the delivery driver. He put it on to take the lift off the back of the truck, then put it back in diaper mode to enthusiastically talk to me about a car he plans on buying on Monday. He slipped it back on and off a couple more times at what seemed random moments. I wanted to ask what he was doing, then decided he had the mask/de-mask equivalent of a verbal tick, like Canadians saying “eh” at the end of most sentences, but not all. I’m reminded of a psychological oddity accidentally discovered when an automated bird behavior reinforcement experiment malfunctioned during a long weekend and birds were randomly rewarded for pecking a bell. The psychologists came in on the next Monday to discover some birds standing on one leg or bent over at awkward angles. They named the finding “superstition.”
Haven’t seen masks in month’s in North Texas. Only at the doctors office with immunity compromised patient’s or the cardiologist office was anyone wearing masks. Restaurant’s are wide open, sports bars packed shoulder to shoulder, patioes are full of smokers and drinkers not a mask in sight. Now if Louisiana would just drop their masks Mardi Gras would be on the list but no they are committed to masks till mid march. Vegas dropped masks last week already have a 5 day stay as Caesars lined up over spring break.
I didn’t wear a mask except in the hospital or PT during the peak of the scandemic.
Occasionally someone would say you have to wear the mask.
In which case I would slip it on for a couple minutes and then down it went once I was out of eyeshot.
I later figure out how to wear it over a pair of sunglasses so I could breath.
Amazing this nation fell for a superstition.
Masking to “protect” from contracting and spreading a respiratory virus is truly nothing more than a dirty, nasty, unhealthy bad habit which, like many bad habits (especially unhealthy ones like wearing a mask), takes strength, commitment, confidence and, most importantly, courage to break ... characteristics which are quite rare amongst irrationally afraid and irretrievably ignorant people who are simply fooling themselves ... lying to themselves, actually ... which is never a good thing to do to oneself.
‘It is cruel and ridiculous, and it is no wonder most places are short-staffed now.’
it is one of the most stupid thing I’ve ever seen, people indulging their inner inanities and thinking they are the sainted ones...
