Not a good day for helicopters. Wonder how many helicopters will crash and burn next week in the Ukraine.
I wonder if it was the bright green one.
Gosh. too bad.
G5 interference?
“Wonder how many helicopters will crash and burn next week in the Ukraine.”
Probably about the same number that went down last week.
West Balboa Boulevard
Isn’t that the main drag into and down the middle of Balboa Island?
Yes, if anyone familiar with that area..crashed behind Old Spaghetti Factory.

They probably were taken to Hoag Hospital which is literally up the street and a Level 1 trauma center. It’s a top notch hospital.
Also, Hoag Hospital is only few minutes away but only one pilot was taken there..other was taken to OC Global in Santa Ana, higher level trauma center 🙏🏻
Helicopter HB1. Was Mike Lee(R-Mumbai) flying it?
I just saw a video of a helicopter crashing in shallow water near a beach. This must be another incident.
The other crash was in was Miami Beach => https://youtu.be/ATFDBw994ik
Officer Nicholas Vella passed..just announced during HB press conference, only 44 years old.
RIP 🙏🏻💙
I’ve been a fixed-wing pilot for many years, and while I have long been curious about flying helicopters, I’ve always been put off (as with skydiving) by the risk. They’re amazing machines, and when I’ve flown in them they seemed like the closest thing to a magic carpet, but there’s an awful lot of moving parts involved, just waiting to fail in some way. And that’s not even including the unique ways in which aerodynamics can doom them if the pilot isn’t careful.
RIP.
