Rick Perry and Abbott are the ones that kept going to California and begging all the companies to move to Texas for the great business climate. Mostly Perry. Now our home prices are so high that Texans can’t afford anything.
You’re one of, if not the only person from Texas that I’ve ever read on here acknowledging that. And the ONLY jobs they recruited were the tech jobs. Wonder what happens when CornPop really gets the H1B visa machine running and they all start losing their jobs to some guy from India.
And at the end of the day it comes down to a circular argument.
They want more tax revenue, that’s what it’s all about but they can’t say that.
So they tell you it’s about the jobs. But when the jobs come the people come the taxes go up. And when the taxes go up sondea the tax revenue. But then they have to spend more to service all the new residents so taxes go up again. And then they have to build more schools, hire more cops firemen teachers, So taxes go up again. And then they tell you your house is worth more after an assessment so your taxes go up again.
Texas has been sold out just like Cali was decades ago. Georgia and Tennessee aren’t far behind.
