Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) showed a five-point lead over Democrat Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke in a hypothetical head-to-head gubernatorial poll from Climate Nexus.

The poll found that 45 percent of the registered Texas voters surveyed said they would vote for Abbott, five percent more than would vote for the Democrat.

Sure, Texas won’t go Dem. it’ll never go Blue.

The state has been invaded for over a year. Illegals being dumped all over the state.

And he’s only 5 points up.

They better have some legit restrictions in that voting bill they passed. 5 points is nothing for the Democrats.

Keep on recruiting all those liberal companies and throwing out the welcome mat for liberals and Democrats from all over the country.

Please, spare me the “the transplants are more conservative” than the locals. Like so many other states, open the door and the alert will come in force and destroy the place.

Climate Nexus did the poll. So it is probably tilted a minimum of 10 points toward CLIMATE IMBECILES.

Probably so.

Either way, with the amount of invaders that have come into that state, I’d think Abbott would be up by 30, at least.

But then again, the hipsters and tech people aren’t bothered by the invasion

5 points is not going to be the final result. Abbott will win by 10 or more.

Did you ever read the tough new election laws, with tough new anti ballot fraud laws, over which all Dem state legislators run away to DC for months in order to try and stop it?
Which ended up passing anyways?
Abbot is not winning by just 5 points.
10 points will be more like it.

I’m wondering if they’re just as tough as the new laws here in Georgia. Which really aren’t all that tough and as restrictive as theDemocrats made them out to be.

One question needs to be answered: did the new law completely ban, make illegal, prohibit: Mail In Voting and Drop Boxes?

If so……then the law is decent

If No……then the law doesn’t change a whole helluva lot.

The one in Georgia, originally eliminated Mail in voting and drop boxes. Republican leadership had that language removed. Ergo, the new voting laws did not address nor remedy the issue that allowed CornPop to win Georgia.

And even 10pts is too low, IMHO.

A year? Where have you been?

Not only Colorado. Damn near every Blue state identified is an exact copy of what happened in Colorado.

And to think that Oregon has been using Mail In Ballots for years. And folks wonder why that state is the way it is.

It seemed like things certainly did slow down between 2017-late 2020

And would have slowed down even more had Republicans in Congress helped out. But, Nahhh

Big difference is Republicans already won all the big state wide offices in Texas even before the tough new laws. Not the case in Georgia.
Dems were going to lose in Texas anyway. Now they will lose by bigger margins after their dramatic attempts to kill the new laws failed miserably.

Veto outspent Ted Cruz by 4 to 1 and still get clobbered. He will get a stronger beating this time round from Greg Abbott.
