It started with a lying local bastard who has taken 6 MONTHS to do a lousy 2 day transmission swap on my ‘dog car’.

Seven, my girl, couldn’t fit in the PT Cruiser backseat due to her hip issues causing her pain so she missed months of regular vet visits, having survived toe cancer.
The vet *might* have been able to diagnose her other symptoms in time to keep her from DROPPIND DEAD in the yard November 7.

Then, my boy Hrafi, who now has osteosarcoma, missed several thyroid panel blood draws for the same reason, except he is simply too big to stuff into that car without performing origami on him and making him miserable to the point that he howled his distress.

Had they been able to go to their necessary vet visits, both of their problems could have been caught MUCH sooner with potentially far better outcomes.

And now I’ve been dealing with vets whose Coof Phobias apparently outrank Hrafi’s vet phobia and we’re way behind in what should be happening in his cancer treatments.

Only this week, since the January 7th diagnosis, have we managed to find sane, courageous oncologists who will actually let me IN with him, thereby eliminating all his “vet phobias” instantly.

A lot of money *I* don’t have and a lot of time *he* may not have, has been wasted because of this stupid, cowardly crapaganda Coofraud.

Am I pissed??

Oh yeah, and way beyond whatever surpasses livid and enraged.

And I STILL don’t have my damn car back from that jerk.

I have developed a very dim view of humans and have been emotionally curb stomped to a sobbing pulp because I have NEVER not been able to care for my dogs within hours of suspecting any little thing was slightly amiss.

Thank God for his new vets.
That alone was a prayed for miracle.
They are awesome.

Correction:

SEVEN MONTHS.

For a two day job.

Always an excuse, always a lie, always it’ll “be done Sunday”

Sunday never comes.

An acquaintance from 35 years ago praised his hometown of Baltimore and its wonderful race relations.

(He, being a Conservative who praised marijuana, and whose girlfriend had a miscarriage within that same month).

That’s awful. Prayers to those people, and to you for even having to hear such a thing.

We ended up hiring a housecall veterinarian for our dog. All the vets around here have gone insane, too.

Can’t find those here now except for my one awesome vet who is so swamped his appointments are two months out now.
He came here for my goats and to send one dog to heaven and cried with me.
We had at least 8 vets just last pack it in and the biggest vet hospital shut down.
People are now (ab)using the emergency vet hospital for regular stuff.
Effing my life up is bad.
Effing up my dogs’ lives is unforgivable.
I am NOT someone to start a conversation with about the “coof” anymore.
Rage is my obligatory response.
I have nothing left to lose now and no effs left to give.

They’re implying it’s Covid, I’m sure. Like that’s the only thing killing ppl these days, even in Maryland.

Maybe it's the vaccine, in many cases. So maybe the delay is a negotliation with the Health Department not to say so.

I’m to the point where I am tempted to “mask-shame” people who are too stupid to realize they look like fools as they still mask up in the stores, out on the sidewalk, and in their cars.

But, I’m a (mostly) nice guy and my wife would not appreciate my candor.

Sounds like about the same time frame since I was last there, late 80’s and early 90’s. Ballmer’s problems didn’t spring up overnight - there were always areas that were a no-go, even at daytime, especially if you were white. But there was a window of time when you could go places, do things, and feel fleeting pride in being a native Marylander. But Clinton came to office promising ‘the era of Big Government is over’, and did just the opposite. Taxes went up; then the contract support carpetbaggers starting winging in, and it changed the way the state’s politics had aligned and diverged. It used to be a fairly purple state. There were many red areas in the state (still are, but much smaller and fighting for every inch of space), now it’s just western MD and the Eastern Shore who are primarily conservative. I’ve maintained for 30 years that the strip of land running along I-95 is where the power is, and the rest of us were like indentured servants. I met and married my first wife there in VA and lived inside the Beltway in NoVA for several years; it was a breath of fresh air at the time. Too bad the marriage read like Edgar Allan Poe.
