He was much more of a Cicero, perhaps.
Someday people will say of somebody else who was great that they were a Rush Limbaugh!
Rarely has one man brought so much wisdom and happiness to others for so long a time. He is fondly remembered. We miss him.
Wasn’t Socrates a homosexual pederast, or portrayed as such by Plato?
The fact that humanists derive so much from this figure is unnerving, and thus I would not compare Rush to him.
We miss you, El Rushbo!!!!!!!!!
I have mentioned previously that when Rush passed away I began organizing all of the podcasts I had downloaded over the decades. I happened to hit play on one from 2007,when Billary was the frontrunner, and Obambi was just a young upstart. I continue to listen in order. Operation Chaos has come and gone. Amazing!
Most of the time each podcast has plenty of timeless wisdom. He is, truly, the Socrates of the Airwaves. I marvel at the way he constructs and explains. As Rush often stated, his mouth cannot keep up with his brain. Every week, time after time, he relates the current events in their historical perspective.
It is also timely since we know Obambi and his minions are really in charge today. In May 2008 Billary is in major trouble, Obambi is babbling without the help of a teleprompter, and McCain is just lame. It is now early August 2008. Cannot wait for Sarah Palin to come on the scene.
Thank you much for posting this. Wonderful article. Like a great artist, Limbaugh knew how to paint the U.S. in the best light. And he did it with grace and humor.
