It’s normal. They overreach and then they back off, but not all the way. The people may see this as a victory, but in reality, they lost a little more of their freedoms. And that’s how it will go, overreach and back off most of the way.

Agreed we must make a priority of changing “emergency” laws as they are obviously a new abuse tool.

Like:

Governors or Presidents can’t declare a state of emergency longer than two weeks without congressional approval.

That can’t last longer than two months without judicial review.

That can’t last longer than six months without a popular vote.

They can’t be trusted with this unlimited power.
