US political satirist PJ O'Rourke, who skewered both Democrats and his fellow Republicans in barbed works including "Republican Party Reptile," has died at age 74, the writer's friends and employers said Tuesday.

The New York Times reported that O'Rouke had died of complications of lung cancer.

Trump and MAGA flushed out the “conservative” DC cocktail party elites. Over the decades he certainly took potshots at the ruling elites but when it came to actually changing things, he was more comfortable with the Clintonista status quo. More neverTrumper than neverMAGA, but I think we can get along without him.

I enjoyed his writing, his views. Last time I saw him he was scrunched, face twisted, just firing missives towards Trump and anyone who would be so stupid as to like Trump and not be on the pjo camp. Ugly and twisted.

Didn’t follow him much after National Lampoon, but his stuff while there was unbelievably funny — and wonderfully over the top.

PJ was a dated Toff. Now that he is gone he is really dated. Even worse-— He never made me laugh.
