Whoever told you vaccines PREVENT infection told you a bald faced lie. No vaccine in history of mankind ever created a virus proof filter in your nose. If there is virus material near you, and you are breathing, you will get infected with or without symptoms depending on your immunity levels.
Function of vaccines is NOT to prevent infection, it is to fight after infection has happened, and help kill the virus via anti-bodies created.
So why is it news that vaccinated test positive? It is news only for the un-informed.
