Capping an incredible, historic 2021-22 season, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was named Super Bowl MVP on Sunday night, after he helped his squad to a 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
---SNIP---
Following the Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl MVP presentation, Kupp was able to enjoy the moment on the field with his family — wife Anna, and sons Cooper and Cypress. He then spoke to the media with 1-year-old Cypress on his lap.
And Kupp shared a vision he says God revealed to him three years ago as he was walking off the field after the Rams lost Super Bowl LIII, which he was unable to play in due to a torn ACL

I also noticed that they didn’t play any “black national anthem.”
They did play “Lift Every Voice”. It was SUPER early in the telecast - then all the players went into the locker room for a bit - then came out and they sang “America the Beautiful” and the “Star Spangled Banner”.
Who are you to say what God does or does not waste his time on?
Ticky-tack maybe but not bogus. But were it not for the horrendous missed offensive PI/face mask on the first play of the 3rd quarter, it would have been 2nd and 25 rather than a touchdown, and LA wouldn't have needed the final TD. Maybe the ref prayed for redemption and God was just righting a wrong. /s
Maybe God did that to cancel out the no facemask call that enabled the Bengals to score. Funny how you forgot to mention that.
Awesome reference 👍
I don’t need much to know that this is false. when God announces a future event it is to benefit humanity and show the way to the kingdom of heaven, in religious terms foot ball is nonsense
Thanks for limiting God to your own understanding.
Did he, (God), have a “reason” not to help the Christian on the other team?
I know .. it’s all a ‘mystery’!
GEEZE!
Egos extended those fine traits to aggression, dominance, intimidation. And ridiculous end-zone dances.
Walter Payton’s name adorns the NFL Man of the Year trophy. Payton just handed the ball to the ref and returned to the sideline. He acted as if he had been there before, and would be again.
God DOES know our thoughts. He knows our pain of soul in great disappointments. He also knows what is coming in our time frame. So it is not suspect when a Christian asks God ‘why’ or ‘if and when’ and He shares one of His glimpses into what is coming in our time frame.
You are focusing on the wrong point: God cares for our disappointments even as He cares bnot a whit anout the Super Bowl. He was consoling one of His children.
AMEN!
It may have nothing to do with “the team” or “the game”. When you listen to what inspires somebody, some memory, some action, something that heavily influenced them, which leads them to greatness in some completely different arena in the future...yes, way too complex for me to guess why - but is it beyond “God’s will” for some unexplainable reason? No.
Just as Tim Tebow influenced a generation, I’m sure God isn’t a Broncos fan - but the 2011 season was insane for Tim...gave him a platform. Tebow showed what faith and pure will was able to accomplish, a great example to millions.
You are right. God does not give “visions” about irrelevant worldly drivel like the Super Bowl.
Did God say he would have some dirty refs fix the game?
God can use a Super Bowl or anything He wants. We cannot limit God. But I am suspicious about anyone who assumes God will bless them in the way they desire. I wonder how many on the Bengals team had a vision also.
On a humorous side, obviously the refs vision wasn’t always perfect.
I’m just waiting for someone to blame God for them dropping the potential winning TD pass.
Like biden says:
“White Christian MVP, white coach, & white quarterbacks... It is racism at its worst... Doesn’t the NFL have any decency?”
I turned on the TV a half-hour before kickoff and didn't see it, so it must have been done somewhat earlier. But I just watched it on Youtube. Although the performers had talent, the horrible "modern" arrangement made it almost unlistenable. They should have done it straight, the way it was originally written.
