Stewart Rhodes is being HELD in pre-trial detention and could be sent to DC. His lawyers want him released

Stewart Rhodes will return to court next week, seeking to avoid a transfer to the Washington D.C. jail.

Stewart Rhodes was moved from his Plano, Texas holding cell to the Cimarron Prison and Correctional Facility in northeast Oklahoma two weeks ago. Cimarron is a medium-security facility in Cushing, Oklahoma.

Rhodes is the founder and leader of the Oath Keepers, a group that describes itself as a non-partisan association of current and formerly serving military, police, and first responders who pledge to fulfill the oath all military and police take to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

The federal government has charged Stewart with “seditious conspiracy” after the patriotic group attended several events in Washington DC on January 5th and 6th, 2021. The organization provided security at several of the rallies planned those two days including President Trump’s speech at the Ellipse.

The charge of “seditious conspiracy” is a complete sham and the Department of Justice knows this. The DOJ claims, without a scintilla of proof, that the Oath Keepers were plotting to overthrow the US government by force. The Oath Keepers were unarmed on January 6 at the US Capitol. Their members were told by Rhodes to come into the city unarmed. It’s hard to hold an insurrection with your bare fists. But that is the BS we are being fed on a daily basis by this administration and their media lackeys.

UPDATE on Rhodes.

He could be transferred to the notorious DC gulag. Obviously his lawyers are trying to prevent that.

Rhodes is not a threat to anyone and was free for over a year since the allegations against him on Jan 6.

This is disgraceful!

This is disgraceful!

Do you think there is anyone in DC right now who shows any grace. We don't even know what the word means.

It’s inhumane, unconstitutional and disproportionate

Have I missed anything?

Corrupt prosecutors, DOJ and corrupt judges.

The “justice” system is a joke.

There needs to be some serious house cleaning.......

They must move him to a place where his contact with lawyers can be monitored.

So much of what occurred on 1/6 is being hidden because it is either exculpatory or incriminates the government. They need to know in advance what steps are being taken by his lawyers so they can cover up and destroy.

Why is it disgraceful?

He’s been free for over a year. Others have been in that gulag for how long?

Let his lawyers start representing everyone being held in that place and we can talk.

Meanwhile, BLM “leaders” luxuriate with their $60M slush fund for houses, flashy cars, and recreational chemicals.

The only seditionists are the foreigners running the DoJ, but since most of them are outright Communists, that’s normal for them.

They have managed to invert the world and are not imprisoning the people who opposed their theft of the election.

Hope little Johnny Roberts is happy with his place in history. The Big Steal will come out, and he will be the guy seen as blessing it when he swore in the Pretender. Worse, he will also go down as having stood back and watched as the Department of “Justice” was turned into a Bolshevik show trial persecution operation.

I agree none of them should be there but it’s really strange they can lock him up after more than a year after the allegations.

A sane judge would never allow it.

I have to assume the entire system is rotten to the core.

What a ridiculous comment.

Sometimes we have great examples on FreeRepubic that show just how disconnected what many claim to believe and what they would practice.

Critical thinking………..its critical.

The treatment of the Jan 6th protesters is just Queen Nazi Pisslosi’s way of telling Americans don’t you dare enter my castle without my permission.

The two tier “justice” system is a real concern.

I’m amazed the judges - even Republican ones - are going along with it.

You’d think they would ask some serious questions of these prosecutors but apparently not!

It’s worse than I thought......

You sure dont want to get caught up in this “system”!

Be careful out there.

And yet the darling of the GOP Senate, the great debater, the man who champions the Constitution even in his sleep, the former Solicitor General of the State of Texas…..calls all of those locked up in that gulag Domestic Terrorists and has ZERO problem with their 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, and most importantly…..8th Amendment rights being violated.

And he obviously has ZERO interest in any transparency about the video or why the particulars of these cases are sealed.

There are people walking the streets of this country out on bond for Murder, Rape and Robbery. Those people are being held on trespassing charges and pose NO threat to anyone.

Nor are they being allowed to investigate all the “evidence” being presented against them.

These cases are simple examples of how the Fed’s get convictions. Bleed you financially til you can’t afford representation. Sadly, the RIGHT doesn’t have an army of either ProBono or Soros paid lawyers to represent any/all of them for free.

If the tables were turned, every liberal lawyer in the country would be outside that jail and in courtrooms filing briefs.

Oh wait…..he apologizes. Mr World Class Debate Team Master misspoke.

Sure he did.

And he’s just one of about 260 or more,Republicans in Congress that could care less.

Why should anyone care about BLM and their money?

They should be caring about the BLM guy that was in the Capitol, filmed the MURDER of Ashli Babbitt and is a free man. No charges, if I’m not mistaken.

We agree entirely....

I’m not forgetting about the other inmates held there. They need to be released too.

But Rhodes free for a year and now being locked up on these charges is particularly egregious, stupid and makes no sense.

Pretrial incarceration. Say it again. PRETRIAL. the government doesn’t have to prove anything. Off with his head’ - often associated with Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, this phrase can be found as far back as 1591 in Henry VI Part III, spoken by Queen Margaret, and is repeated in Richard III. and that folks is where we are.

Assume……it’s taken you this long? The entire system is a set up. From the most local level all the way to the top.

Sen Menéndez…..hung jury/mistrial…no retrial

John Corzine….steals $1.2 billion….pays $5million fine.

It’s become a Bolshevik system of groupthink.

The “federal” attorneys - mostly Red Diaper babies - repeat mantras about how the election was “Free and Fair”, and how the protestors are all mentally deranged because they think it wasn’t.

That’s just crap out of the Soviet Union. Their “courts” did the same thing.

The Judges are part of the system and climb on the same wagon...for a while. As the Bolshevik prosecutors go increasingly off the deep end, some of the Judges may break ranks and start drawing boundaries. It will depend on the political climate: they have their fingers in the wind too.

Just FYI:
The Cimarron Correction Facility is a privately run facility that holds Federal inmates temporarily prior to trial, after trial, or while an inmate is being moved between federal prisons. The average stay is a few months, but can be much shorter or a bit longer.

“Medium Security” refers to what goes on inside a prison. The fencing and razor wire and watch towers are generally the same as at a normal maximum prison. BUT, within a “medium security” prison, there is a fair amount of free movement by inmates that is not allowed in maximum prisons. The classification of inmates is similar, but in a medium if you are a “peaceful” murderer or rapist, you merge with the general inmate population, so long as your “in custody” behavior has been good and you behave.

Bond…..say it again

Bail……say it again

Prosecutor: “These carjackers have declared war on our community” after off-duty Cleveland officer shot, killed

Will either of them come up the 10-12% the bonding company requires? NOPE. But they were offered a bond.
