Ron Rivera: Brian Flores “is courageous”

Former Dolphins coach Brian Flores has taken the bold step of filing a racial discrimination lawsuit against the NFL and three of its teams, the Dolphins, Broncos, and Giants. The head coach of the Washington Commanders appreciates what Flores has done.

“First of all, I think what Brian is doing is courageous and it really truly is bringing everything to the forefront and to the light,” Ron Rivera, one of the league’s five current minority coaches, told PFT Live on Friday. “I think it is important because the biggest problem in my opinion that minorities face is that people don’t know these guys. You have to get to know who they are to give them opportunities. I have a friend who’s in sales and he’s always told me, ‘You need three elements if you’re going to sell. People have to get to know you, people have to get to like you, and people have to get to trust you to buy from you.’”

Ok my friends. DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IT? One win in 32 games over 2 seasons.

What is Rivera REALLY saying? Sounds like another wannabe standup guy having it both ways. Kissing up to the blacks on his team? Race missionary? My favorite was anti-trumpet Steve Kerr(Warriors).

The Rooney Rule is the NFL's Affirmative Action program. Nothing affirmative about it. Sham 'interviews' all along. Now it's out into the open on 'their' terms(the left).

Kapernick couldn’t play.Blame the cops.

O.J. did it. Blame racism. What’s next? They can’t let go.

This White Privilege discrimination has got to stop. The racial makeup of all sportsball teams should reflect the racial makeup of the country.

The NFL should immediately replace White coaches with Coaches of Color (COC).

Now about the racial makeup of the players . . .

The bad thing is that in any business dealing you get the good with the bad. With too many blacks you get the whole package-too easily led.

Now the Az. Cardinals are in the 4th year with QB Kyler Murray. They ‘own’ his rights for up to 2 more years. His TRUMP is to suggest dissatisfaction and empty his twitter account. Eligible for a new contract-that’s ok. He can ‘threaten’ to play baseball. What I’m saying is that he’s threatening to use it. As a leader of the team is that the way he should put it out? Russell Wilson has some of the same issues but he’s keeping the lid on. That’s what leaders do. Teams gamble when they make those choices and I’d rather be called a racist.

‘You need three elements if you’re going to sell.

Ok, what does that have to do with being an NFL Coach?

You need one element if you are going to coach in the NFL and it starts with a 'W'.

Flores has been coaching in the NFL since 2008 — I think everyone knows who he is by now. It’s not that large a group of people.

5 “minority” black head coaches in a 32 team league. 15% is about representative of the general population. OTOH a majority of players are black but players don’t often become coaches. But no female coaches yet. Or Asian, or trans, and we can go on and on. At some point I just gave up and and the game became just another politically messed up distraction.

Kyler Murray hasn’t proved anything yet. $40 million/yr for a guy who’s potential is through the roof but brings distractions? At least he isn’t that Watson fella who we know CAN play.

If I was the owner I’d trade him for three 1st round draft choices. They’d get it. Nip it in the bud and let the chips fall where they may. Teams get themselves into trouble with these big guaranteed contracts and are unable to dig themselves out. Some get into trouble with the law(Watson), some get major injuries, and some(many) just quit playing when the bonus money is guaranteed. That’s 3 reasons, all legitimate. Then there’s the fourth: players in that position are free to become head cases. The white power structure is too woke to stand up to it. Lemme tell you something else: They’re BILLIONAIRES. Team ownership is chump change to them. Who wouldn’t want to be in that 32 member fraternity? It’s like women at a cocktail party saying “My son the doctor.”

It’s Super Bowl Sunday. I’ll have fun but won’t watch. I got another idea I’ll post in this segment.

That's what Flores is saying and what he's suing about. I hope he takes the NFL to the cleaners.

Us normies have careers which last about 40-45 years. NFL player careers average about 4 years long. Starting NFL QBs average longer, but still under 10 years. They have a limited amount of time to make their money before they're out of the NFL, most of them with no hireable skills. I have no issue whatever with a man doing whatever he can to make money legally - our opinions on Kyler Murray's leadership ability aren't going to put a single dime in Kyler Murray's pocket.

U R right. It won’t affect us but put yourself in an owners shoes. It’s their money to blow. The fans? They’ll get over it but the Watson disappointment set the franchise back 3-4 years.

They should have hired a flamer LGBQT with a paisley skirt, and then we wouldn’t be having this discussion. The coach they hired isn’t ‘black’ enough, so why not push for the rights of ‘queer’ folks? Mike McDaniel proclaimed that his ‘race’ was Human Being, which thankfully I am also. There are very few ‘white’ people. I am light skinned. Many are dark skinned, or yellow skinned, brown skinned, etc. But all are of the “HUMAN” Race. Perhaps the Dolphins should have hired an AI Android, who is painted multi colors? SICK OF IT - //SARC// Done with the NFL.

The problem is whites being afraid to show candor. Then there’s blacks being squished like a bug when saying something anti-gay(remember Garrison Hearst/49ers). How about Cam Newton-”Good question coming from a woman.”

The week leading up to the Super Bowl would have been a good time to bring the issue to a head. Everyone paying attention(not me). Whites making fun of blacks, blacks making fun of queers, and BOTH making fun of women. The message: enough is enough.

All this should happened during-get this-Black History Month. Black wokesters will pay attention to the anti-black statements, gays get equally offended.

Cut THEM ALL down a notch. The MSM will hate(and love) it-plenty of copy. Remind you of Canadian truckers?
