It is interesting that "health" and "safety" issues are dealt with so differently by the "progressives." A life is a life. A death is a death.
In one interchange I asked a pro-abort until birth if an assault on a pregnant mother, near her delivery date and said assault resulting in the death of the baby was murder. He said no. The he tried to explain this by "woman's right to choose" rhetoric, when there was NO such slogan involved. It was a death, an unwanted death by the expectant mother, and yet he wanted to argue with "clump of cells" logic.
When one gets to that point, life is meaningless. Willingness to terminate a "clump of cells" before birth and cheer for euthanasia becomes that Fabian socialism wherein "right to life" becomes the province of the state, not the individual.
It is fascinating that such people balk at the notion that they would be measured with the same measure they would apply to others.
And by that logic a women can dumb a human out of her SUV to death since it is her vehicle and has a right to who occupies it, even if that presence is to due to her own actions. And if it becomes a matter of development, then where does that lead to?
