Newspapers have been opinion engineering operations for their 200 year history. The most interesting thing about them is, who is paying for you to have certain opinions? I still read Drudgereport.com as the modern Pravda, so, the return of Hillary vs Trump is the most interesting thing about the Oligarch kaleidoscope right now. What does it mean abiut the Oligarchs intentions, what they're going to do to us next? I have no dog in Falun Gong's fight with the CCP. I just don't like that they're not transparent about who they are. I always look with askance at anything in the Washington Times because they don't come out & say they've financed by the lat Rev Sun Myung Moon's Unification Church. With all the filth on the internet, that's the 1 great thing, that you can find out anything. You just might not like what you learn.
The author, maybe, should have taken another English composition class or two.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Falun Gong movement unless you are viewing them from the Communist Chinese perspective.

According to disclosures made by the justice department, the state-run English-language newspaper China Daily paid several hundred thousand dollars to prominent American publications like Time magazine and Foreign Policy magazine in a span of six-month.
As many as $700,000 was paid to Time magazine; $371,577 to the Financial Times; $291,000 to Foreign Policy magazine; $272,000 to Los Angeles Times; and over $1 million to others.
Last month, The Daily Caller had reported China Daily, controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, paid more than $4.6 million to The Washington Post and nearly $6 million to The Wall Street Journal since November 2016. Both newspapers reportedly published paid supplements that China Daily produces called “China Watch.” The inserts are designed to look like real news articles, though they often contain a pro-Beijing spin on contemporary news events.
China Daily also paid for advertising in several other newspapers, including The New York Times (USD50,000), Foreign Policy (USD240,000), The Des Moines Register (USD34,600) and CQ-Roll Call (USD76,000).
It spent a total of USD11,002,628 on advertising in US newspapers, and another USD265,822 on advertising with Twitter.
Anyone who paid attention new the Epoch Times was affiliated with FG. Did you want it published on the Masthead? Get serious.
Falun Gong is a form of a Buddhist following, but I think all Christians need to learn to be as wise as a serpent and as innocent as a dove. Part of that is discerning the truth from the NYT or Epoch Times. I would dare say Epoch Times is far better than ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, the Wall Street Journal, MSNBC, CNN, FOX, and countless other “news” outlets.
Charles, how do you get “truly clean from bias” news? If you found such a place, how do you live with yourself knowing you are supporting a media outlet that employs people to gather news from other sources, exposing them to sin? It would be like paying someone to watch porn for you, sanitizing it for your ears into something clean.
We live in a fallen world. We need to strive to be holy, yet, we must live among others who don’t have the same concern.
I’d take a conservative article from the Epoch Times and its owner, Falun Gong, which believes no sex should ever occur outside of heterosexual marriage, over the New York Times and a liberal article, which appears to encourage wanton sex with and among minors.
If you really dig into Falun Gong you would find that the foundation for their movement to cultivate the soul is based upon three elements:
1. Honesy and Trustworthiness
2. Compassion
3. Tolerance and Forbearance
As such they were in direct opposition to the CCP.
They did not declare war on the CCP. The CCP declared war on them as they are anti propaganda.
Anyone who writes new instead of knew should be banned from writing!
We are in the Springtime of Soul Growth. These are the special times Jesus told us about. But the “Weeds” from Matthew 13 are also here.
There are many ways to meet, experience and communicate with Jesus. The Falun Gong movement practices the same techniques that were used by Peter at Pentecost to bring the Holy Spirit into many.
It is a very good movement.
I say that objectively, not as a member of their movement, but as a Christian.

Thank you for the honest objectivity, and I agree. This idea that the very hateful “there can be only one good and righteous faith” without any tolerance at all for any others is a self example that stains a faith.
Like Buddhists, Falun Gong do not hate Christianity in return. And in this way they set a better example of true tolerance and righteousness towards fellow humans. It lacks the one sided hypocrisy.

The writer may have been using the "speakwrite" feature of his device. Those devices get it wrong a lot. So blame it on the editor who should have caught it.
