DDOS = Distributed denial of service attack. Getting millions of computers to access GiveSendGo to try to crash their servers or at least keep real customers from accessing it.

DDOS = denial of service due to overwhelming volume. Bots can generate the volume. While not hacking it is used to bring undesirable web sites down.
GiveSendGo is working on it - setting up screening to verify valid users.
