The fundamentally biggest issue with Russian women and American men is the misunderstanding of the Americans that Russia is not poor.
Russia is not Ukraine. Ukraine is poor. Russia is very rich. Rural Russian women, like rural American women, may be poor, and Hollywood may have led them to think a single waitress in NYC can afford an apartment. But the truth becomes clear very quickly.
The US has a debt to GDP ratio well past 100%. Russia is 20%. Far, far superior. If they want to borrow money, people line up to lend it because they have actual collateral in the form of oil and gas. The US has to borrow from its own central bank, the Fed, in the form of QE.
So that’s the fundamental issue with US men and Russian women. When they get here, they are faced with the shock of discovery that they are the rich one in the relationship.
