And people thought Rove was some kind of electoral genius. Here he goes attacking the only electoral group left that can possibly deliver the Republicans a victory.
It's almost as if he doesn't care what party wins as long as not someone like Trump. But that can't be right because it would suggest that the two parties are actually the same and any differences they have are really just a game they play for the cameras.
Rove has to stay in front of a camera. He has no other way of making a living. As you said he supposed “election campaign genuis” was more luck then ability. No new aspiring candiate will touch him. I’ve heard his divorce was particularly “bloody (financially so!)”. He’s probably at the point he’ll say anything if there’s a payday!
