Perdue introduces new Chicken Plus Chicken Tots as a "better-for-you" mash-up of chicken nuggets and tater tots. Perdue Chicken Plus Chicken Tots features a mix of white-meat chicken, seasonings, and a veggie blend of cauliflower, chickpeas, cabbage and potato, covered in a crispy panko breading crust. They're good for 1/4 cup of veggies and 9 grams of protein per serving.
A 22-oz bag of Perdue Chicken Plus Chicken Tots carries a suggested price of $10.99 and can be found at the following retailers: Kroger, Roundy’s, King Kullen, Meijer, Giant Landover, Giant Carlisle, Shaw’s, Giant Eagle, and Bogopa.
Perdue's Chicken Plus line also includes chicken and vegetable tenders, patties, and dinosaur-shaped nuggets.

It sounds like they dumped the contents of a frozen dinner into a food grinder

Even with all those veggies, according to the nutrition label at the Perdue website there’s three times as much “added sugar” as fiber in a 7-piece serving — 3 grams vs. 1 gram.

Wendy’s four-for-four deal is my go-to fast food. If I’m starving I’ll go for the $5 biggie meal.

The sodium is usually the big killer.

Because of inflation. If they sold 22 oz of real chicken nuggets, the price would probably be $19.99. So they “cut” them with cheaper veggies, and sell it to morons as “healthy”.

That same 7-piece serving has 20% of the recommended daily intake of sodium / salt. I can’t make out the actual amount . . . looks like 400mg.

This seems like a cheap excuse to decrease the amount of chicken.
