“Where Have All the Cowboys Gone?”
I have two sons and a daughter. The oldest son hung out with me, he’s now a policeman and is an alpha completely. But he is a gentleman as I taught him how to treat women and the elderly, but he is very protective and was that way as a child. He beat up a few bullies who were tormenting other kids.
My youngest son was the baby and thus his momma tried to baby him. He is a gentleman like the older son but he comes across as soft spoken and thoughtful. When he sees something wrong he will eventually stand his ground it just takes him longer.
I made both watch me repair and fix things and work in the garage and yard and taught them both how to shoot and to stand up for themselves. And they were to respect their elders period and always protect women and children it was their duty. If they were bullied, tell the teacher one time, then take care of it yourself and if you are hit you better take your part.
I never yelled at their Mom in their presence, if we had a fight it was behind closed doors out of their earshot. My oldest son married a woman who came from a family where the mom was king of the roost and fighting and yelling was a way of life and the woman he married acted that way. He called her on the behavior and she would change for a month and revert again to the never ending screaming, eventually he said I can’t live this way and divorced her.
