The fundraising platform said it wanted to 'ensure the funds are going to the intended recipients'..
GoFundMe paused the fundraising page for the Freedom Convoy 2022 after it surpassed $10 million Wednesday.
"This fundraiser is currently paused and under review to ensure it complies with our terms of service and applicable laws and regulations," read a notice at the top of the convoy's GoFundMe page, as of Wednesday evening.

Before being suspended, the GoFundMe page for the Freedom Convoy 2022 made more than $10.1 million since having been established on Jan. 14. That amount far exceeded the amount raised by Canada's major political parties last quarter.
...
News stories began circulating last week reporting that the convoy's GoFundMe page was frozen and organizers needed to outline how the millions of dollars in raised funds would be spent. A GoFundMe spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Monday that organizers did detail how the funds would be spent and that they withdrew $1 million to support their effort.

They might as well be called GoF**kMe.
First off only the stupid would use Go-Fund-Me for something like this.
That said they should be sued for allowing all that money to flow in and then cease it.
They weren’t nearly so scrupulous when it came to the BLM grifters.
hopefully more and more people are being red pilled by these fascist tactics
This points to a need for a centralized web site {which I may be ignorant and it already exists] where every WOKE business, organization can be listed so we can make an informed decision on who we will and who we will not do business with.
We have to make sure we are not funding our enemies.
True HOWEVER given how our government no longer feels obligated to be constrained by OUR Constitution, there is nothing stopping them from declaring all cryptocurrency null and void at any point in time.
Yeah..,.its not up to any government. Or any agency. That is the biggest reason why the governments and banks hate it so much.
But that was not my point. It IS legal today. You could set up a wallet in El Salvador—where it is legal tender—collect the bitcoins and convert them to dollars—easy peasy.
Totally legal. Totally out of their control.
I understand there are a lot of people who do not “get it” yet. But I saw a statistic yesterday that might put it in more perspective: There was more “value” in dollars transferred in the Bitcoin network in December than there was in the Visa Network. No...not in transactions, but it value transferred from one place to another.
I understand that traditional investors or just people who are not “educated” (I mean that in its literal sense—not in a snobby, looking down my nose sense) about this keep thinking the shoe is going to drop. I would suggest that there are too many BIG shoes already involved for governments to do much outlawing without pissing off a great number of their “supporters” (read contributors.)
I am an older guy—in my 60’s. I have a good college buddy who runs a private trust fund worth billions. I have been asking him about cryptos for at least 8 years now. At first, it was crazy, fringe talk. Then it was, “I have to look into it.” Now, its “We hired some guys....:”
This guy explained to me that it wasn’t his clients who were interested. He told me that as the boards of his clients were moving from his clients to the kids of his clients (people mostly pretty successful and savvy in their 40’s and 50’s)—as they started coming on, the interest grew and they have been forced to start integrating a very small percent into their trusts.
I understand your comnment, and please don’t take this as going off on a rant. But if people embraced the modern, an very legal process to support things like the Jan 6th prisoners, Kyle Rittenhouse, and other conservative fund raisers...the money would be going to the right people, the amounts would be transparent to EVERYONE. There would be no shenanigans about how money was sent to a wallet, how much was there, and where it went. You see the stuff going on with BLM these days? That would all be avoided.
Just some food for thought.
Plus...just to add, the methods to send your fiat to a bitcoin address uses the same Venmo and Paypal system. Of course, they could block the address...but you could still send it to a middle address you create...and then send it.
The piont is—they cannot stop it.
As long as there are six computers running a bitcoin nodes...it cannot be stopped.

After traveling World Wide for 26+ years, I experienced 4 times, where a government just declared certain currencies ILLEGAL to be used for any transactions in the country. Be it paper currency or cryptocurrency, the result would be the same and yes you were ranting.
You read it ALL in the wrong tone. In fact, you didn’t read it at all.
Go count your gold McDuck. Until the government takes it away…again.
