CNN has a new owner. AT&T tried to sell it outright but could not. So they did the next best thing (which is what they are doing to all their entertainment properties btw), they spun it out into a merger with another company.
The head of that company has said quite openly that CNN has lost its way and he wants to turn it back toward a more hard news organization with less, if not any, opinion shows.
The Zucker affair as a reason for the firing seems like an excuse to me, but a well timed one.
So expect more firings...probably stuck with lemon and anderson but i bet baldy II gets the boot.
