PETA
Outlaw 30 Round Magazines and this is what you get.
Get a crossbow. Free pork.
Wow.
Ah, yes - that hub and center of productivity, the Twittsewer...
They need to do what Texas has done to make it profitable to reduce their populations. Allow for trapping, transport, and sale to processing centers. An entire, sustainable industry will pop up to control their numbers:

Just teach them how to eat homeless people and then you would have junkie hogs. When the pigs to the center for free drugs you can lock them up. Problem solved.
Serious question: are feral hogs good to eat?
Feral hogs in Arkansas and Oklahoma are infected with psudo-rabies. Shoot and let them rot.
My cousins farm in Gilroy has a herd of about 60 hogs running across their farm. Danged rutters.
They won’t rot the others will eat them. One of God’s most destructive creatures. IMO
Just what I was thinking. Pork chops on the hoof.
We don’t have these things where I live. Are they edible?
I’m buying stock in lamb’s blood.
Just as long as the guns they use are licensed and registered, the hunters are background checked and psychologically profiled, and the ammunition is certified lead-free and environmentally friendly, and each round has been individually signed for and approved by the chief of police, I don’t care how many hogs they. Because, after all, it’s a free country!*
*Except in CA, NY, MD, NJ, CT, DC, and possibly your state or home town.
Now that’s a target rich environment! Luv me some nocturnal hog hunting. I do it to feed the buzzards. Wild hogs are some nasty animals.
It’s California, I say let the Pigs run wild
Last time I was there they were making plans the cull the herd a little. Last count was sixty but they hadn’t seen them in awhile.
They are exceptionally gamey, especially the sexually mature males. It’s called boar taint. The meat gives off a pig shit smell while cooking. Pretty sure that the whole original point of barbeque was finding a spice combination that made wild hog edible.
I once got stuck with a 4H hog that had an undescended testicle so it could not be sold at auction. We had to eat the whole thing and we pretty much turned every cut, even the chops into bbq pulled pork in the crockpot and it made the house stink like a hog farm. But long cook times help a lot with the gameyness.
