In the “olden days” of FR, there were the occasional bug-zapper threads where a few people would ride the lightning.
There was a legendary thread during the 2007 GOP primaries where a whole lot of people who supported Rudy Giuliani were either zotted or they opused. I was working overseas nine times zones away so I missed the whole thing.
There was still some debris left when I logged on in the morning.
I still see references to that thread today. (And now there’s this one. LOL)
I remember about a decade/decade 1/2 ago, there were some nights there were 5+ zots in 1 thread at a time.
Lots of trolls trying to take the site down.
